Q.
What are your casting policies?

Auditions are open to the public, unless otherwise stated. We at times will pre-cast roles, but we will always be upfront about doing so and will not audition for the role anyway; we don’t want to waste anyone’s time or needlessly get their hopes up for a certain part. Our audition notices will always say either “All roles open” or simply list the specific characters needed.

Q.
Do you support color blind casting?

Absolutely! In our productions, people are cast based on talent not skin color. The only exception to this policy is if we do a show that addresses race relations, such as
Ragtime, Miss Saigon, or Showboat.

Q.
I read your mission statement, what do you mean when you say you’re “family friendly”?

We have developed a rating system, similar to that used by the Motion Picture Association of America. All of our shows will be rated accordingly and the guidelines strictly enforced. We want to be able to provide the appropriate entertainment for the appropriate audience. Please see our
Rating Guide for more information.

Currently our seasons consist of three shows: two musicals and a play. But we hope to expand in the years to come.

Q.
Do you only produce musicals and plays?

Currently, yes. As we grow and add more shows to our seasons, we hope to incorporate other facets of live entertainment, such as dance, puppetry and concerts.
